Meykin`s Story:
Meykin lives in a full family and has moderate intellectual disability, developmental delay, and memory difficulties. The family consists of six members: his parents, two younger sisters, a younger brother, and a grandfather who requires constant care. His father works as a laborer in the housing and utilities department, while his mother is a homemaker. She takes care of the household and the youngest child and occasionally does temporary work, as stable employment is hard to find in the village. The family lives modestly and faces financial difficulties.
Their house has two rooms, with water supply and a toilet located outside, and no bathroom, so the family uses a bathhouse at a neighbor’s home. They maintain a small garden where they grow vegetables for personal use.
Meykin is a kind boy who loves animals and helps around the house, though he can sometimes show minor aggression due to his developmental challenges. In his free time, he enjoys playing active games. Attending the boarding school helps him socialize, receive support, and develop essential skills. Sponsorship significantly improves his learning conditions and life opportunities.
