ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Tokmok School of Blessing is located 60 km east of the capital Bishkek, in the city of Tokmok which has a population of about 60,000. Tokmok is next to the ruins of the ancient city of Suyab, the birthplace of the famous Chinese poet Li Bai in Tang Dynasty. School of Blessing was the first Christian school the Foundation established in 2000. The original school name "Ak-Bata" means “being blessed” in Kyrgyz. In the first grade, students take English and computer classes. The school also offers elective courses based on the interests of students. The quality of education in the school is outstanding. Every year our students demonstrate their high level of academic performance by participating in different Olympic competitions. Because it is one of the best schools in Tokmok, students from different ethnic and religious backgrounds are eager to attend our school.

SPIRITUAL IMPACT

Our school focuses on the spiritual and moral education of teachers, children, and their parents. Every day, we have morning prayers with the teachers. We read the scriptures and deal with life situations, for example, "How to learn to forgive, walk through hardships and love your neighbors".  We pray for the needs of the school and for health, which is the most pressing need today! We also have a devotion in the morning for the students. We try to encourage and inspire them each day to grow in a nourishing environment. Our students are not like kids from other schools. Not only the teachers, but also the parents talk about it. Every day, on the schedule, we teach Bible lessons. We build spiritual principles in them that are grounded in scripture. Because of this, our students are friendly, outgoing, and open-minded. Many of them have improved their characters in many areas, learned to express themselves freely, got rid of bad habits, and some of them have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

SUMMER CAMP 2021

In June we held a Summer Evangelistic Camp. The Summer Camp had two main purposes. First, to explain to students what God’s love and God’s plans for us are, also talk about the importance of having a personal relationship with Him. Second, to organize useful activities for students in the summertime. During the camp, we introduced students to many topics such as respect, courage, trust, mercy, love, and other things. We have talked about the creation of the world, about sin and Savior. Some of our students invited their friends from other schools to join the camp. Our new friends heard about Jesus for the first time in their lives. Everyone enjoyed the camp very much; they played games and had a lot of fun. Hope they will always remember things they’ve learned in this short time. Thank God, for helping us during the camp, we believe that we will reach more people with Him and have an impact on the community of Tokmok city.

PRAYER NEEDS

  • Please pray for the school that it will continue to grow, positively impact our community, and serve the Lord for a long time!

  • Pray for the spiritual growth of the school, so there would be no fear left, but only trust and love for God.

  • We also ask to pray for parents who leave their children and go for earnings to provide for their families. But the children feel abandoned and alone. Pray for the parents to return to the family!

  • Please also pray our students Nariman and Temirbek as their father passed away recently. May through this time they will experience God as a father.

“Our school is unique because we have the opportunity to hear God's Word in Bible class and other classes. Our classroom teacher and English teacher incorporate Bible stories into his subject, and it affects our spiritual well-being.  I also love the way our Bible class teacher teaches.... “
