Who am I, and what is the purpose of my life?

The following is a testimony of Ira from Tokmok GYM's ministry.

This is testimony of changed life girl from small mountain villagein Central Asia.

Testimony|May 2026| GYM Tokmok

Hello, everyone! My name is Ira and I`m 15. I first began thinking about God at a summer camp where we had Bible lessons. During that time, I started asking myself important questions: who I am and why I live. In that moment, I felt that God loves me and will be with me throughout my life.

Before that, my life was very different. I was disobedient, used bad language, and made wrong choices. But as I began to learn about God, I started to see gradual changes in my life.

Later, a friend invited me to The Tokmok gym. I began attending Sunday youth meetings, and during the Christmas event, there was an invitation to pray and repent. In that moment, I felt God calling me, and I responded. Since then, I have been attending a Christian home group, reading the Bible, praying, and believing that Jesus died for me. I want to continue following God.

At the Tokmok gym, I was supported by a spiritual coordinator, Arina, and a volunteer, Anya. Now Anya leads the small group I attend. She supports me, prays for me, and we have a warm and trusting relationship.

God has also been changing my life in practical ways. Before, I often took money from my mother without permission. But one day after I repented, my mother left her bag at home. I felt a strong temptation to steal her money. I even opened the bag, but at that moment I felt God stop me. I closed the bag and did not take anything.

Later, I honestly told my mother what had happened. She said I did the right thing. At that time, we didn’t have much food, and that money was very important for our family. She told me, “I’m glad you didn’t take it. You see how much God loves you.”

Since then, my relationship with my mother has improved. My relationship with my father is more difficult, as he struggles with alcohol. I was encouraged to pray for him, and I continue to do so. I don’t yet see changes, but I believe God will work in his life. I believe my father will come to God, repent, and his life will be transformed. Right now, I also pray for my family and loved ones, that they would open their hearts to Jesus.

Thank You, Lord, for the ministry at the Tokmok gym and for the people You can use to spread Your love!
