Amantur’s Story:
Amantur lives in a family of six with his mother, father, grandmother, and two younger sisters. His father does not have permanent employment and works seasonal jobs, while his mother is a teacher at a local school. His grandmother, who is retired, helps care for the children and manages the household. The family faces ongoing financial difficulties, as a significant part of their income is dedicated to meeting Amantur’s special needs.
Amantur has a severe intellectual disability accompanied by pronounced behavioral challenges, which require regular medical care and specialized support. The family lives in a two-room apartment where Amantur does not have his own room. The apartment is equipped with running water, an indoor toilet, and a bathroom, which helps make daily care more manageable.
Despite these challenges, Amantur is active, cheerful, and strives to be friendly with those around him. In his free time, he enjoys watching cartoons and playing energetic games with friends. Attending the boarding school provides Amantur with a safe and supportive environment where he can develop social skills and receive essential care. Support through the sponsorship program helps ease the family’s financial burden and contributes to improving Amantur’s quality of life and well-being.
