Nikolay`s Story:

Nikolay lives in a full family with his mother, father, and older brother. The family resides in a house with one living room and a kitchen, and Nikolay does not have his own room. His father works as a laborer at the Kyrgyz Chemical-Metallurgical Plant, his mother is a cleaner at a general education school, and his older brother studies at a vocational school to become a cook. The family has a low income. The house has running water, an outdoor toilet, and a private bathhouse. The family also maintains a garden where they grow vegetables for their own consumption.

Nikolay studies at a boarding school, where he receives educational and remedial support. Regular assistance allows him to attend additional classes, develop skills, receive individual attention, and improve his academic performance and behavior.
